To date Madonna has clocked up an incredible 60 top ten hits in the UK alone (12 of which were number ones) and sold 210 million albums worldwide. Her live performances are the stuff of legend, and this one will no doubt include her latest single 'Hey You', written especially for Live Earth.

WEll dun Madge NOT, Oh what a plaform to re-invernt yerself once again!! How much 'energy' was used during her spectacular performance?? hope she's off set it all & OH HOW QUAINT to start off the show looking like a forces sweetheart with HOGWORTS children & all to then transform into SANDY of GREASE outfit!!!

I thought she was fantastic. Considering she is nearly 50 she has a sensational body, tons of energy, and an amazing set. Oh, and she was cavorting around like a sex starved 20 year old. Brilliant.

Madonna rocked the Stadium!!! Her performance was fantastic and so effortless. She looked great and the set brought me back to the best moments of her Confessions Tour! La Isla Bonita was definitely the higlight of her performance: weird, funny but it just rocked!!!

There could be no one else to close the show, no one before her had the presence and performance. Hey You, Ray Of Light, La Isla Bonita and Hung Up were all performed with such energy. This is why she has been at the top of her game for over 20 years !! Bow down to the one they call Madonna !!

She proved once again why she is the Queen of pop. A Fantastic Live performance, I loved Hey You esp with the choir, Ray of light (everyone was jumping) and loved the finale with Hung up. However, I didn't really like La Isla Bonita because she changed it and didn't perform the original version, which I love. Overall a great way to end a historical night.

thought Madges performance was absolutely outstanding, I have not seen her perform like that since her early days like blonde ambition tour, she had so much energy and sounded

did not like it. sorry madge but what were you thinking with the gypsy folk and the chrismas style song, i know you wrote for this but you just dont float my boat. and you didnt need to swear! nuff said

I'm not overly concerned about her vocal ability on the whole-that's never been the point of Madonna- but I thought her voice sounded damn fine under the circumstances (Wembly's accoustics are notoriously dire, not to mention the fact that she was leaping around like a gazelle for half of her act). Listen without prejudice to her performance of 'Hey You' and it was almost note perfect. Her revamped 'La Gypsy Bonita' was refreshingly original (not bad for a song which, incredibly, is now more than 20 years old), and 'Hung Up' still has the energy of the worldwide smash it so deservedly was. It's predictable that people wil carp about her performance, but judging by the reaction she generated in the cavernous stadium, few people will be leaving Wembly disappointed. And as for Madonna herself, she can sleep easy in the knowledge that her charisma, and show-womanship, are still very much intact.
