Star Spell

From 10-15 October BBC One screened Star Spell, where Eamonn Holmes tested 20 celebrities, all hoping to be the nation's Star Speller and win £10,000 for their chosen charity.

Vanessa Feltz was the winner of the first heat.
Gary Waldhorn the second.
Nina Wadia the third.
Jennie Bond the fourth
Steve Ryder the fifth.

But who won the final? It was a fiercely fought competition, but in the end Vanessa Feltz was victorious and crowned the nation's Star Speller.

You can test your own spelling prowess with our spelling game.

Star Spell was held as part of the BBC RaW campaign, which aims to help you enjoy reading and writing.

The authority for the spellings on both the show and in our game is the Oxford Dictionary of English, and American or archaic spellings are not accepted even if they are in the ODE.
