How To Play On Mobile          [By Downloading]

win up to 50,000

There are two ways that you can play the quiz on mobile phone. If your phone is java enabled, download The National Lottery Come & Have a Go mobile game onto your phone and play along with the show. The game is available for many popular mobile phones. Check our list to ensure yours is supported, then read the instructions below on how to download. If your phone is not java enabled, just play along by texting.

Step 1: download the game

You can download the mobile game in one of two ways. Visit bbc.co.uk/mobile using your mobile phone and click on the link Entertainment. Then click on the link to Come and Have a Go. Follow the instructions to download the game or simply text the word GO to 88822 and we'll send you a message to start downloading the game. This message will appear on your phone as a "Wap Push" or "Service" message. Open this message and you will be guided through the download process.

Once downloaded you will need to find where the Come and Have a Go game has saved on your phone so that you can open it. It is usually saved in the "Applications" or "Games" menu of your phone, though you may choose an alternative location. If you experience any problems with the downloading process then email mobile@bbc.co.uk describing any error messages you receive and the make and model of your phone. Downloading the game, and connections during the game, will be charged at your mobile operators standard mobile internet charges.

Step 2: test your connection

Once you have opened the Come and Have a Go game for the first time you will need to "Test the Connection" by selecting this option from the menu.

This simply makes sure that your phone has the correct settings to be able to play along with the show.

Step 3: start playing

Once you have tested your connection successfully you can select "Start Playing" from the menu. You will need to be watching the show to be able to play along so make sure you are ready and waiting at this stage soon after the show starts. You will see a screen that displays the question number and the four possible choices (A-D). Use your directional pad or joystick to highlight the answer for the corresponding question being asked on TV. You then press "Select" whilst on the highlighted option to answer, or if your phone is compatible then you can simply press the directional keypad in the centre to select.

You MUST select your answer before the timer on the TV has reached zero otherwise you will not be scored for that question. You will be asked to confirm your answer before you move to the next question. If you make a mistake you can go back and change your answer, but remember if you do not select your answer again before the timer on TV runs out then it won't be counted.

Step 4: after playing

At the end of the quiz your answers will be submitted and you receive a score. If you downloaded the game via the BBC wap site you may be asked to confirm your mobile number the first time you play before you can submit your answers to be scored. You can use your mobile game to play again the following week, though you may have to upgrade the version of the game you are using. If this is the case you will receive instructions on what to do when you select "start playing" from the main menu.

If your team's score wasn't high enough to get a call back, never mind, you can practise in the Quiz Rooms to improve. Remember, The National Lottery Come & Have a Go runs for ten weeks until June the 25th 2005, so there's more than one chance to hit the jackpot! Of course you can just watch the show or play for fun.
